CABLE ROUTE SURVEYS & ENGINEERING

OCEANTRAVELLER HYDROGRAPHIC SERVICES personnel have experience of writing Desk Top Studies (DTS) at the design stage of projects to select an initial route for cables.  Information included in these studies encompasses such details as landing sites, fishing activity, shipping activity, permitting requirements, environmental concerns, geology, existing cables, pipelines and ownership details plus other essential data.  Recommendations are also provided for survey specifications and cable types.  We can also provide both onshore and offshore route engineering services and real-time onshore and offshore cable route survey client representation.

CABLE ROUTE ENGINEERING TRAINING

OCEANTRAVELLER HYDROGRAPHIC SERVICES can provide training in the basic skills of Cable Route Engineering and fundamental elements and concepts of the routeing and installation of marine cables.  The course is split into five broad categories encompassing cable route engineering and installation.  There is no pre-requisite offshore background required as the course contains something for all offshore survey disciplines.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT

OCEANTRAVELLER HYDROGRAPHIC SERVICES is expanding into Environmental Impact Assessment consultancy with particular application to the offshore industry.  Offshore development and refurbishment has found a new lease of life with the upward surge in oil prices with accrued profit re-investment in offshore facilities bringing with it environmental concerns which have now to be addressed.  Clients enquiring about environmental services should forward a framework requirement in the first instance addressed to our enquiries desk. Contact details are given in the 'Contact Us' window.
